As a part of the NDF 2002, HMG/N takes it as a great opportunity to apprise all the concerned and the general public of the status of cooperation, roles and responsibilities of His Majesty's Government of Nepal (HMG/N) and its development partners have had in the development endeavor of Nepal and also the prospects of mutual cooperation.

To achieve that objective, HMG/N has decided to organize a Bikas Bazar Development Exhibition on the premises of the Birendra International Convention Center (BICC), Kathmandu in conjunction with NDF Week during February 4-7, 2002. The exhibition will feature information kiosks highlighting partnerships between Nepal and her development partners including audio-visuals, posters, pamphlets, reports, information brochures (for demonstration purpose and distribution) and so on. HMG line agencies and development partners will be assigned kiosk spaces at the BICC - the site of the NDF opening plenary - and will be encouraged to work closely with each other to set up information outlets that explain the core themes of their development partnership. The exhibition will remain open to the public throughout NDF week.

Upon conclusion of NDF Week, the information materials demonstrated at kiosks at the Bikas Bazar will move to Nepal Development Information Center to be set up, and will be housed there permanently. The Center will be a professionally managed repository of information relating to development assistance. The Ministry of Finance will sponsor the Center and the development partners will be encouraged to maintain and periodically update their information products. The Center will also be responsible for maintaining the Nepal Country Gateway website portal to be launched in conjunction with NDF 2002.
